Our Process

Ditto Editions produces fine art reproductions utilizing the latest technology and meticulous archival printmaking standards. We provide artists with museum quality reproductions of their original works of art using only the best in fine art canvas, papers and pigmented inks.

Superior Fine Art Prints start with the highest quality image capture. Ditto Editions has the finest digital scanning back available coupled with a high definition studio lighting system. This ensures that every detail and nuance of your art work is captured and reproducible. We maintain a closed loop, color managed, workflow that sends all images through a central "image processing" computer. Before images are printed they are adjusted for the particular printer and media that they will be printed on.

We have tested and evaluated a variety of fine art canvas and paper to be sure that they meet our printmaking standards. Our house media includes those made by manufacturer's such as Innova, Fredrix, and Hahnemühle.

At the conclusion of the proofing process the artist approved proof, called a Bon-A-Tier (BAT) is saved and used as reference to assure that future re-prints match the original print run.

At the completion of every print order, your images are cataloged and archived for quick retrieval. We also write a CD-ROM for you to keep at a small additional charge.

Our proprietary on-line artist portfolio and easy re-order website, www.myprints.biz is provided to each Ditto Editions' client at no charge.
